What Does The Bible Say?

The prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word I have not commanded him to speak, that prophet must die. In case you should say in your heart how shall we know a word that Jehovah has not spoken? When the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true that is the word that Jehovah did not speak. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it. You must not get frightened of him.” Deuteronomy 18:20-22

Jesus said at Mathew 7:15-20, "Beware of False Prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing but are inwardly ravenous wolves. YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles. Even so, EVERY GOOD TREE (PROPHET) BEARS GOOD FRUIT (PHROPHSIES, TEACHINGS) but a bad TREE (PROPHET) BEARS BAD FRUIT (PROPHESIES, TEACHINGS). A good tree can not bear bad fruit, and a bad tree can not bear good fruit.

What Does The Watchtower Say?

In this October 8, 1968, Awake magazine on page 23, the Watchtower says: " that there are some who have announced an end to the world, AND IT DIDN'T COME. What was missing? Missing from such people were God's truths and the evidence that he was guiding and using them.

But what about today? Today we have the evidence required ALL OF IT. AND IT IS OVERWHELMING!

IMPORTANT NOTE

The WTB&TS said the people who announced a specific date for the end of the world, and it didn't come were guilty of false prophesying, The Watchtower has announced many dates for the end of the world and it didn't happen.

What the WTB&TS said about what qualifies one as a FALSE PROPHET, doesn't that apply equally to the Watchtower. Their end of the world predictions have NOT COME TRUE. Aren't they also FALSE PROP"HETS?

In this publication "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" on page 88, the Watchtower "Prophet" said " That by the year 1925, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful ones of old will be resurrected and fully restored...and living on earth."

Did that happen? NO! Is that not a false prophesy? Judge for yourself.

Today, many newer Jehovah's Witnesses know nothing about Beth Sarim. However, it was located in San Deigo California and was to be occupied by "Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful ones of old", when they were resurrected in 1925. As seen in the above photocopy of the Millions publication by J.F. "Judge" Rutherford.

The House was later quietly sold and is an example of what we consider another Watchtower False Prophesy.

In this September 15, 1941, Watchtower, under J. F. "Judge" Rutherford's direction, the Watchtower published this statement that there were "only months remaining before Armageddon".

This prophesy did not happen. According to the Watchtower's own statement in the October 8, 1968, this is another example of FALSE PROPHESY.

Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that listening to the “faithful and discreet slave (FDS), the "Governing Body", the group of men in New York that are responsible for what is written in the WTB&TS publications, is a way of hearing God’s voice today.

As the public speaker Mr. Sinutko said, "The society (FDS) they know what's coming and it's coming fast, and don't wait until 75 the door will be closed before then. As one brother put it, 'STAY ALIVE TIL 75'.

Why were they looking forward to the year 1975?

The WTB&TS, the writers of the literature told Jehovah's Witnesses that Adam was created in the year 4,026 BCE and if you count backward, 4026, 4025, 4024 down to the year 1 (there is no "0" year) then from 1 up to 1975 you will arrive at 6,000 years since the creation of man and the 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ was to begin around September 1975.... So as one brother put it..."Stay alive till 75". Remember, the WTB&TS says, it is Jehovah God and Jesus Christ who should get credit for what is written in the Watchtower literature. We call it "False Prophecy".

Man makes mistakes, Jehovah and Jesus do not.

In this October 8, 1968 Awake magazine, here the WTB&TS again encourages the millions of members, to examine the short time before the 1975 date. The end of the world and the 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ.

Today Jehovah's Witnesses will attempt to deny that it was a False Prophesy. Many will say it was simply that many just read too much into what was printed by the Watchtower.

In this Kingdom Ministry, May 1974, the WTB&TS commends Jehovah's Witnesses when they reference some brothers are selling their homes and properties and planning on spending the rest of the short time left in the pioneer service ministry before the wicked world ends.

"Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining BEFORE THE WICKED WORLD'S END."

That was over 50 years ago. Did you read something into that or was that a False Prophesy made by the WTB&TS's governing body in New York?

In this May 22, 1969 Awake magazine, here the WTB&TS says if you are a young person (which I was in 1969) you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things.... Therefore, as a young person you will never fulfill any career that this system offers.

I was told in 1965 that I could quit high school if I would go into the "pioneer service" (75 to 100 hours per month knocking on doors.)

After reading these few proof articles, would you say that many of Jehovah's Witnesses just read to much into what was said... supposedly by Jehovah? Or, were the writers of the literature, the Governing Body, The Faith & Discreet Slave responsible for False Prophesying?

Here Jehovah's Witnesses are told that there is no reasonable or scriptural injunction to bring chilren into the world immediately before Armageddon which is where we now are.

Additionally in the book "Children", marriages and having children was not encouraged because Armageddon was to close...only months.

In this March 22, 1993 Awake magazine, the WTB&TS says that "in their eagerness for Jesus coming Jehovah's Witnesses have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect...
"Never in these instances, however , did they presume to originate predictions "in the name of Jehovah".

(Jehovah's Witnesses as a people like my mother never suggested any dates, they just believed what the WTB&TS told them since they were supposedly speaking for Jehovah) Remember, the WTB&TS said that "Jehovah touched their lips and put His words in their mouths."

Did Jehovah's Witnesses the people, simply "read too much into" what was published by the WTB&TS?

What would you assume about the 1000-year reign of Jesus after looking at their diagram seen here?

Watchtower Teachings and Unfulfilled Prophesy

. 1889 - ...the battle of the great day of God Almighty (Revelation 16:14 with the complete overthrow of earth's present rulership is already commenced (The Time Is at Hand, 1908 edition p. 101)

. In 1918 - when God destroys the churches and church members by the millions, any that escape will come to Pastor Russell's teachings to learn the meaning. The finished Mystery, Volume 7 (Charles Taze Russell was the WTB&TS's 1st president and founder of the religion)

. 1923 - "Our thought is that 1925 is definitely settled by the scriptures. As to Noah, the Christian now has much more upon which to base his faith in a coming deluge." (Watchtower April 1, 1923, p. 106)

. 1926 - "Some anticipated that the work would end in 1925. But the Lord did not state so. The difficulty was that the friends (individual member of the (WTB&TS) inflated their imaginations beyond reason; and that when their imagination burst asunder, they were inclined to throw away everything," (Watchtower p. 232)

. 1938- Scripture's support Jonadab's not getting married and not having children until after Armageddon.

. 1941 - There are only months remaining before Armageddon.

. 1941 - We should postpone our marriage until after Armageddon

. 1967 - The Watchtower October 1967. p. 591. Make haste to identify the visible theocratic organization of God that represents his king, Jesus Christ. It is essential for life. Doing so, be complete in accepting its every aspect. We cannot claim to love God yet deny his Word and channel of communication.... Jehovah's visible organization is based firmly on the twelvefold foundation of the apostles of the Lamb with Jesus Christ himself being the foundation cornerstone.(Rev. 21:14,19; Eph 2:20–22) Therefore, in submitting to Jehovah's visible theocratic organization, we must be in full and complete agreement with every feature of its apostolic procedure and requirements.

. 1969 - Furthering your education, pursuing a good paying job are extremely dangerous. There's not enough time lef (until 1975 the end of the world - Armageddon)

. 1974 - Selling your house and property to pioneer (75 to 100 hours per month in the field ministry) is a fine thing to do because of the short time remaining. (1975 was it, the door would be closed before then - Stay Alive till 75")

IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember since the beginning, for over 100 years, Jehovah's Witnesses, have been told that Jehovah God communicates to His people through the Watchtower literature. And when none of the WTB&TS prophesies came true, Jehovah's Witnesses, the people are blamed for reading too much into the literature.
